So recently, Ludacris has been getting a lot of attention, more so than usual, especially with his upcoming movie, Fast 7 and his marriage. But what I am here to talk about today is the artists that he had worked with for the past couple of years and recently. Predominantly, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber. Now, many fans can agree, Ludacris is one of the greatest rappers alive. However, working with artists like Nicki Minaj and Bieber seems to have somewhat affected his reputation among the fans. I am not sure how I feel about this as a big fan myself. Sometimes I think it is pretty disappointing that an artist at this caliber would collaborate with artists that make what I call "Bubble Gum" music. I have had this discussion with numerous Hip-Hop enthusiasts and it seems that the common point that was made is that by working with artists such as Minaj and Bieber is just an abomination to Hip-Hop on his part. You guys could check out songs like "My Chick Bad ft Nicki Minaj" and "Baby by Justin Bieber ft Ludacris" as a sample of this discussion.
Could this be true? What do the fans think? The man is extremely influential and successful in the industry, but are these wise choices?
This brings me to another topic. Does Nicki Minaj have a place in Hip-Hop?
