Compton

So recently, just like many people, I stumbled upon an album that was released awhile ago by Dr. Dre. I have been listening to this "Grand Finale" for about 2 weeks straight, all day, everyday.

I must say, this album is definitely masterpiece and there wasn't a song I didn't like. The album is unreal, front to back. The production of the album was definitely well thought out and there was definitely some serious studio time put into it.

I also have to commend Kendrick Lamar who was featured throughout the album, it was his best work so far. I'm not quite sure why Dr. Dre featured Kendrick in majority of the album but my guess is that Dre was passing the "torch" on.

For those who haven't listened to it yet, do it. It's a 10/10 album.

Ludaversal, A Heavy Hitting Album.

Alright, so I have been off on a road trip across the great nation of USA these past couple of weeks. So while I was driving, I had a chance to catch up on listening to some of the new hip hop albums that were recently released. Hold and behold, I finally got around to listening to Ludaversal. My only regret about listening to this album is that I should have done it sooner and it is something I will take it to the grave. An absolute masterpiece. This album The best intro to ANY album that is out there right now and another song that really got to me was a tribute to his father, Ocean Skies. All I can say is, if you are a hip hop fan, have a listen to this ENTIRE album.

Action Bronson to not play in Toronto?

It seems that there is a petition out now to stop Bronson from performing in the NXNE Festival this June in Toronto. Erica Shiner, a woman who started this petition says that Bronson supports murdering and the raping of women through his art. Many fans believe feminists are just haters. What are your thoughts?

On another note, you guys need to check out "Mr. Wonderful" an album that Bronson recently released. "Mr. Wonderful" is a wonderful album. Features artists such as Meyhem Lauren, Big Body Bes, Party Supplies, Chauncy Sherod and Chance the Rapper. I also like to commend The Alchemist for crafting such original and unique beats for this album and surprisingly jived well with Bronson's flavor and style of rapping. What are your thoughts on the petition? Should Bronson perform in Toronto? Leave your thoughts and comments below!

2nite by Dr. Dre ft Kendrick Lamar and Jeremih

Alright guys, how is everyone doing? Hope you guys are enjoying your summer this year!  Few days ago, Dr.Dre released a track, "2nite" ft Kendrick and Jeremih. Something I'd like you guys to have a listen at. The track didn't sound like anything I'd expect from Dr. Dre given his background in music and the style that he built since day 1 in the game. However, it is still a pretty dope track and Kendrick and Jeremih really brought this track together. There is some buzz going on about whether or not Kendrick wrote Dre's lyrics. Personally, it sound like he did, but that's just me. What do you guys think? I left the YouTube link below for you guys to check it out. Leave your thoughts and comments in the section below.

Megadeth Confirms New Lead Guitarist!!

So in the past couple of weeks, there has been some interesting buzz about Megadeth and this new lineup that Dave Mustaine is trying to put together. It seems that joining Megadeth to many seems to be a risk not many are willing to take given Mustaine's track record of keeping members in the band. After reading many other articles and interviews on this matter, I think Megadeth at this point is going to have a tough time writing this new album that they are currently working on. Apparently, Megadeth offered a rather "bunk-ass" deal to former drummer, Nick Menza. It seems that they pretty much wanted Menza to record for "free". For obvious reasons, Menza declined. It seems that Megadeth's way of conducting business is pretty questionable and this is definitely not a good image for the band all together. Megadeth isn't going to survive any longer if they continue in this fashion of conducting business with other artists.

It has been confirmed, for those of you who are unaware, Kiko Loureiro, a Brazilian guitarist who replaced Chris Broderick as a lead guitarist in Megadeth. Despite Megadeth's lack of ethics of conducting business, I am pretty excited to hear what this band has in store for the world and I do wish them all the best! For those of you who are curious as to what Kiko Loureiro sounds like and what he is all about, check out the video below. Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly Review!

Ok, so just a few days ago, Kendrick released his latest album yet, To Pimp A Butterfly, Dr. Dre being the executive producer for the album. Skimming through the album, my first impressions were, nothing really caught my attention, so right of the bat, I was starting to get pretty disappointed. Then I thought to myself, "C'mon, its Kendrick we're talking about here, have another listen.." and so I did. After taking the time to listen to the album, I thanked myself for doing so because it was pretty amazing. Production wise, it was pretty intricate and well thought out.  All I am going to say about the album is that Kendrick Lamar has set the bar for himself this time and I don't see him lowering his standards anytime soon. Please do have a listen to it and let me know what you guys think about it in the comments below.
